In brief: AP4 backs climate heavyweights

The Fourth Swedish National Pension Fund has made commitments to a number funds in the first half of the year, including three heavyweight sustinability-focused vehicles, according to its 2022 interim reports. The firm has backed:

• Goldman Sachs’ Horizon Environment & Climate Solutions fund
• Generation IM’s Sustainable Solutions Fund IV
• Just Climate‘s “Just Climate CAF I”

Elsewhere in the report, AP4 described its decision to join up to the ESG Data Convergence Initiative, the project that sees LPs and GPs in private equity commit to report on six ESG KPIs in a standardised way. “AP4 looks favourably upon the development of an industry standard with uniform KPIs and will engage in a dialogues with its fund managers on the initiative during the year,” the report reads.
