In brief: CDC bolsters South Africa team

Thithi Kuhlase-Maseko is the new South Africa office head.

CDC Group has hired a development finance veteran to lead its South Africa-focused business, the investor said today. CDC, a development finance institution owned by the UK government, has recruited Thithi Kuhlase-Maseko, formerly the South African country director for Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank.

In her new role Kuhlase-Maseko will lead CDC’s Johannesburg office and “deepen the firm’s deal and portfolio-related activities in South Africa”, according to a statement.
