In brief: GHO appoints sustainable investment chief

Manuela Rankine, a former investment banker who has worked in the firm’s investment team for seven years, assumes the role.

GHO Capital Partners has created a new role to lead its implementation of sustainable investing practices. The private healthcare investor has appointed Manuela Rankine, a former investment banker who has worked in the firm’s investment team for seven years, to lead efforts to further establish its commitment to ESG in investing its “purpose-driven” healthcare investment strategy.

In the firm’s own words: “GHO has created the new role of director of sustainable investing in order to further institutionalise this commitment and continue to drive impact across its portfolio. Manuela will lead the integration of ESG considerations throughout the GHO investment process, including screening and due diligence, monitoring and value creation, and preparation for exit. In this role, Manuela will work closely with the GHO portfolio to set ambitious sustainability targets, leveraging her prior expertise as an investment professional to drive their delivery.”
