In brief: Impax adds APAC sustainability head

Nana Li brings governance expertise to the sustainability-focused private and public funds manager.

Impax Asset Management, a private and public markets sustainability-focused fund manager, has appointed Nana Li as its first head of sustainability and ESG for Asia Pacific.

Li brings governance expertise to the firm: she was previously research and project director at the Asian Corporate Governance Organisation. At Impax, she will lead the firm’s sustainability, stewardship, advocacy and engagement activities in Asia-Pacific. Hong Kong-based Li will report to the firm’s overall head of sustainability and ESG, Lisa Beauvilain.

The firm’s private markets strategy, New Energy Investors, consists of a series of Europe-focused renewables funds. NEI IV launched in August 2020 with a €500 million target; it has so far raised nearly half of this, according to PEI Media’s databases. Impax also has Asia-focused environmental and sustainability funds for public equities.
