In brief: Infra veteran Paul Luce joins Vision Ridge

The US-based firm has hired Luce from Partners Group to serve as managing director focused on sustainable energy and mobility.

Vision Ridge Partners has brought on infrastructure veteran Paul Luce from Partners Group, as the US-based firm prepares to invest a $1.25 billion sustainable assets fund.

Luce is joining Vision Ridge as managing director and will lead investment activities focused on sustainable energy and mobility opportunities.

He was the senior investment leader at Partners Group’s private infrastructure team and previously invested on behalf of the University of Washington’s endowment funds, said a statement from Vision Ridge.

Vision Ridge closed its third sustainable assets fund on $1.25 billion in April. In September, the firm announced one of the last deals from its $670 million Sustainable Asset Fund II: a $100 million commitment to build out a company that installs biogas collection systems at landfill sites to create organically produced natural gas.

Luce will be based in Colorado and report to Vision Ridge co-founder and managing partner Reuben Munger. Munger said Luce will be “invaluable” as the firm seeks to “scale unique investment opportunities”.

“We look forward to leveraging his deep expertise and relationships across sustainable asset classes as we continue to grow the Vision Ridge platform,” Munger said.
