A flurry of impact funds hit the market

Temasek's Seviora, ACA and the Ecosystem Integrity Fund are raising capital for climate strategies.

A handful of impact funds have hit the road – and New Private Market‘s news desk – in the past week, in a further sign that impact fundraising is reviving after a choked 2023.

  • Temasek subsidiary Seviora Capital has launched an agri-food impact fund, Seviora T3F Fund, in partnership with Norinchukin Bank. It is a venture and growth equity strategy focused on APAC and has $173 million to invest so far.
  • ACA, a private equity firm headquartered in Tokyo, has launched New Economy Innovation Fund I. It is a venture impact fund with a $100 million target and will focus on APAC opportunities in sectors such as water, sanitation, clean energy, reducing inequalities and circular economy, NPM has learned.
  • The Ecosystem Integrity Fund, a climate-focused venture firm, has launched Fund V with a $300 million target. Fund IV closed on $250 million in 2021.

We’re also seeing fund closes for sustainable strategies:

  • Infranity has raised €2 billion across two sustainable infrastructure funds: Generali Green Impact Investment Fund and Generali Social & Digital Impact Investment Fund. Each fund has closed on €750 million and has another €250 million via side-car vehicles.
  • Dutch venture capital firm Future Food Fund has closed Fund II, an Article 9 impact fund, on €40 million. It received a €20 million commitment from the European Investment Fund, with participation from other LPs including Risk Capital Resources and the Dutch Future Fund.
