In brief: A handbook for limited partners on decarbonisation

A resource for LPs to 'better understand different approaches leveraged today and the existing tools available' for decarbonization.

Where should a limited partner start on its decarbonisation journey? What resources and frameworks are out there and which are most appropriate?

These are some of the questions that ILPA has sought to answer with the Decarbonisation Handbook for LPs. “Our hope is that this handbook helps LPs better understand the different approaches leveraged today and the existing tools available to help them carry out their plans effectively,” write ILPA’s external affairs senior director Matt Schey, and Bain & Company’s global ESG leader (and sustainable private markets influencer) Marc Lino, in the foreword.

The handbook covers:

  • Advice for LPs on decarbonisation pathways, regardless of starting point
  • An overview of relevant and available frameworks and tools
  • A range of options from which LPs can choose those with best align to their objectives
