What should impact fund managers tell their LPs? Impact Frontiers, a peer network for the impact investing industry, has created a guide and template for impact performance reports that GPs provide their investors. It marks another step towards standardisation of impact measurement and reporting.
Impact reports support asset owners and allocators to “make investment and engagement decisions”, the guide posits. These investors “seek to understand changes in the well-being of stakeholders and the natural environment caused by the [investment firm] and investee enterprises”.
The template includes six sections:

- Impact management process
- Impact performance
- Governance
- Case studies
- Independent review (optional)
