In brief: Agilitas adds to ESG bench, hires portfolio transformation lead

Matthias Hansch will take charge of the firm's value creation plans, while Alison Prout has joined the ESG team.

European manager Agilitas Private Equity has made senior additions to its transformation and ESG teams, according to a statement. Alison Prout, who has worked as a consultant for companies including the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Wildlife Fund, joins as its second dedicated ESG professional. Prout will work alongside Philip Krinks, who became the firm’s first ESG specialist when he joined from Boston Consulting group last year.

Matthias Hansch has also joined the firm as head of transformation, which sees him responsible for implementing value creation plans in portfolio companies. Prior to joining, Hansch was an operating partner at German PE firm Aurelius Group.

Despite not describing itself as an impact fund, Agilitas was a relatively early mover in aligning its investment strategy to UN sustainable development goals.
