In brief: Ares recruits climate lead

Private markets heavyweight Ares Management Corporation has hired its first climate lead to its ESG team. Joe Indvik previously established the climate and energy practice at RE Tech Advisors, a Blackstone-owned consulting firm focused on sustainable buildings. He wrote in a LinkedIn post: “I’ll build on the substantial work to-date to accelerate portfolio company engagement, enhance climate risk evaluation and disclosure, and support investment teams in the large investment opportunity resulting from the energy transition.” He reports to partner and head of ESG Adam Heltzer.
