Carbon Equity, a platform that provides individuals with access to climate venture capital funds, is set to launch a European Long Term Investment Fund following a €6 million series A funding round.
The planned ELTIF would mark a step forward in the platform’s goal of making impact investing accessible to retail investors. The new vehicle would be able to take commitments of €25,000, according to a statement. The firm’s current offering, a closed-end fund of funds launched earlier this year, is accessible from €100,000.
BlackFin Capital Partners led the funding round, with participation from existing investor, 4impact. The capital will also be used to “enhance distribution channels”, per the statement.
