Circularity Capital has added Deanna Zhang to its roster of investing expertise as the firm raises its second European growth fund. The Edinburgh-based firm hired Zhang as an investment director from L-GAM, a private fund partnered with a family office in Liechtenstein.
Last month, Circularity invested in Cocogreen, a company that uses coconut by-products to produce a substrate to grow fruits and salads. That deal came from Circularity European Growth Fund I, which raised £60 million ($82 million; €72 million) between 2017 and 2018. Circularity is currently in the market with a successor vehicle that has raised £135 million so far for mid-market investments in sectors including industrial and business services, consumer, and healthcare.
