In brief: Effiel continues renewables strategy with €15m solar joint venture

The French manager has collaborated with Green Genius to finance the development of an Italian solar farm.

Eiffel Investment Group has committed to a €15 million joint venture with renewable energy company Green Genius to build a solar park portfolio in Italy. The partnership is the second commitment from Effiel’s Article 9-regulated energy transition fund. The first investment was a collaboration with Pacifico Energy Partners to launch a jointed venture to develop agrivoltaic projects in Italy.

Roman Londner, vice-president for energy transition at Eiffel, told New Private Markets that the strategy is looking to make commitments of between €15 million and €30 million in development phase renewable energy production, namely solar PV, onshore wind and battery storage. The fund focuses on Europe, in line with the mandate European Investment Fund (a “key” investor), said Londner.
