EQT portfolio company Melita has had its GHG reductions targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. The Maltese digital infrastructure company is in EQT’s fourth infrastructure fund, and becomes the first company in EQT’s portfolio to achieve this.

EQT became the first private equity firm to receive SBTi validation for its net zero target in October. SBTi released criteria for private equity firms to set credible net zero targets in November. The initiative stipulates that private equity firms must set SBTi-validated net zero targets in all control investments by 2040.
