In brief: European tech investor Partech appoints CSO

Josépha Montana joins from Turenne Capital.

Paris-headquarted venture and growth firm Partech has appointed its first chief sustainability officer. Josépha Montana started at the firm this month, according to a press release, and is tasked with making Partech “a reference in the tech community about how to combine impact and profit in practice, across all stages of maturity”.

Montana was most recently most recently head of ESG and Communications at Turenne Capital.

“ESG and sustainability have been changing many industries already, but this is still relatively new for the tech sector,” Partech said. “The exponential rise of tech also gives investors an important responsibility in how it will be used to shape the world of tomorrow.”

Partech has offices across Europe, North America and Africa. It was founded in 1982 in San Francisco as a corporate venture arm for the French bank Paribas.
