In brief: GIIN’s chief impact officer moves to Vistria

Kelly McCarthy, Vistria's new head of impact, spent 12 years at the Global Impact Investing Network, leading its IRIS+ system for impact management.

The Global Impact Investing Network’s chief impact officer, Kelly McCarthy, has joined buyout firm The Vistria Group as head of impact. Washington, DC-based McCarthy spent 12 years at GIIN, leading the network’s impact data system IRIS+.

McCarthy is part of Vistria’s portfolio management team, PRG, and will “catalyse impact outcomes” according to PRG co-lead Jon Samuels. Vistria, which focuses on healthcare, education and financial services assets in North America, launched its fifth buyout fund in December 2022, having closed its fourth on $2.7 billion in 2021.
