In brief: HarbourVest veteran joins Lightrock board of directors

Lightrock has added HarbourVest Partners‘ Kathleen Bacon to its board of directors, according to a statement.

Bacon is a prominent figure in private equity. She joined HarbourVest in 1994, where she became a managing director and head of European and emerging market fund investments, before moving into a senior adviser role in 2019. She is also a founding member of Level 20, the nonprofit organisation created to improve gender diversity in private equity.

Lightrock, an impact investor formed from various parts of LGT Group, has an €860 million climate fund, which closed in October 2022 and invests in Europe and North America.
