JPMorgan’s private wealth management arm has added development finance expertise with a new impact chief.
Carlotta Saporito has joined the firm as global head of impact for JPMorgan Private Bank’s private investments due diligence team. Saporito will work on fund investments, co-investments and portfolio management with a focus on emerging market.
She will be “identifying investment opportunities that align clients’ portfolios with their impactful opportunities”, Josh Helfat, who heads the private investments team, said in a LinkedIn post announcing her appointment last week.
Saporito joined JPMorgan in September last year after 10 years at British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution. She was most recently a director and head of funds restructuring at BII. Her new team is separate from JPMorgan Asset Management’s impact fund management platform, Sustainable Growth Private Equity.
