Impact firm Ara Partners has recruited former KKR principal Manasi Desai as vice-president, the firm said. Houston-based Desai most recently worked in KKR’s energy vertical. Ara is a buyout firm that invests in decarbonisation solutions for the industrial sector. Its second flagship fund closed at $1.1 billion in 2021, having set a $650 million target. The firm is also raising an infrastructure strategy.
