In brief: New hires for CD&R and New Forests

Private equity firm CD&R has hired in Europe, while natural capital manager New Forests has added four people in Kenya.

Private equity stalwart Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has added a European ESG head to its team (press release). Hannah-Polly Williams spent five years in a number of senior positions at International Rescue Committee and most recently she spent a year with FTI Consulting. Williams joins CD&R’s “ESG Initiatives Group”, which contains 13 individuals from accross the business. CD&R declined to comment on how many other dedicated professionals are at the firm; Lori Butler joined the firm last November as director of environmental stewardship.

Elsewhere, New Forests, a real assets and natural capital firm, has added five people in Kenya following the first close of its debut Africa-focused vehicle. The firm has hired Eva Warigia, former CEO of the East Africa Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, as associate director, investor relations. The four other hires are: Kuda Phairah, Moses Kimani, Stephanie Bishop and Sean Lloyd.
