In brief: PE’s climate collective heads to Scandinavia

The organisation, which originated in France to bring together private equity firms to work on climate, will have an active Scandinavian chapter 'by the end of the year'.

Initiative Climat International will have an “active” Scandinavian chapter by the end of the year, according to Cornelia Gomez, head of ESG and sustainability at European private equity firm PAI Partners. Gomez was speaking on a panel at affiliate title Private Equity International‘s Responsible Investment Forum: Europe in London today.

The organisation, which originated in France and brings together private equity firms to work on climate, now has 129 signatories representing $1.92 trillion. It has active chapters in France and the UK. This time last year, the organisation had around 40 signatories in France and 16 in the UK. Gomez was speaking about the initiative alongside Nicolas Bourdier from PwC, Serge Younes of InvestIndustrial and Adinah Shackleton of Permira.
