In brief: Planet First Partners hires new managing partner

Nathan Medlock has joined the firm in London after 10 years at Zouk Capital.

Planet First Partners, an investment platform that focuses on partnering with ‘disruptive entrepreneurs to scale tech-enabled businesses’, has chosen Nathan Medlock to be its new managing partner, according to a statement.

Medlock joined the firm after a decade at Zouk Capital, where he led the growth equity team that invested in climate tech companies. He will be “a great asset for us as we move towards our next stage of growth”, according to Planet First Partners executive chairman Frédéric de Mévius.

Planet First Partners launched its debut fund, which invests in growth stage companies developing technology to aid the transition to a sustainable economy, in 2021. The fund is classified under SFDR Article 9, and closed on €450 million earlier this year, exceeding its €350 million target.
