In brief: TIFD gets another boost

The UN Development Programme has joined the Task Force on Inequality-related Financial Disclosures as the newest member of the Interim Secretariat.

The UN Development Programme – the United Nations’ development agency – has joined the Task Force on Inequality-related Financial Disclosures (TIFD) as the newest member of the Interim Secretariat (press release). Existing members include the Argentine Network for International Corporation, Predistribution Initiative, Rights CoLab and the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies.

TIFD hopes to create a framework to help reduce socio-economic inequality created by the private sector. It is inspired by equivalent frameworks for climate (TCFD) and nature (TNFD) and has now attracted over 50 “ally” organisations.
