In brief: Verdane becomes a B Corp

TowerBrook, Summa and Atomico also hold the B Corp ‘business as a force for good’ certification.

Verdane has become the latest fund manager to achieve B Corporation certification. The certification, which identifies companies “using business as a force for good”, has been conferred on several private markets firms including TowerBrook Capital Partners, Helios Investment Partners, Summa Equity, Atomico, Ambienta, Abris Capital Partners and Newcore Capital.

B Corp status is an independently verified signal of a company’s sustainability credentials: it is administered by US non-profit B Labs, which measures impact of companies’ operations on “[the] environment, communities, customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders” using its B Impact Assessment Tool.

Verdane, headquartered in Norway, is investing Idun I, a €300 million impact fund that closed in 2022. It also manages growth and secondaries funds.
