In brief: Vista sets GHG measurement deadlines for portcos

Vista was among the first North American private equity firms to join the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative in July last year.

Vista Equity Partners has asked its 55 majority-owned portfolio companies to commit to a series of emissions reductions measures, the firm announced on Friday. By committing to what it calls the “Vista Climate Pledge”, all companies that joined the Vista portfolio before July 2021 have agreed to:

  • Measure 2020 and 2021 GHG emissions by 1 July 2022
  • Set a GHG reduction target by 31 December 2022
  • Reduce GHG emissions annually
  • Offset 2021 GHG emissions
