There are two weeks remaining to cast your vote in our first ever New Private Markets annual global awards. What better way to reflect on the past year than look through our 16 categories and consider which firms or investors deserve to be honoured for a year of success or industry leadership.

As it stands, several categories are on a knife edge. The much coveted Impact Firm of the Year (Climate and Nature) is one of the most open races at the moment, with any one of the four candidates (Ara Partners, Just Climate, KKR and TPG) in with a chance. Real estate impact and food system impact are similarly tight races.

In the ESG categories, multi-strategy firms from both Europe (EQT and Permira) and North America (Ares Management and Carlyle) are battling for dominance. Other closely fought ESG categories include mid-cap private equity, infrastructure, real estate and venture capital. There is currently a tie in the Limited Partner of the Year (Climate) category, so every vote counts.

A holiday message
The New Private Markets’ Friday Letter will resume in January. Until then we would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our subscribers, sources, advertisers and guest contributors for a great year and we look forward to continuing the conversation and collaboration in 2024.
