Accounting firm Ernst & Young has released a handy guide to private equity firms’ diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. There is no new data in there, but it does provide an overview of existing research on the links between DE&I and operating performance.

Ernst & Young characterises DE&I as “an existential imperative”. It adds: “PE firms without diverse workforces risk losing allocations from highly coveted institutional investors.”
